Recently I am hired by Taiwanese company in Taipei and my son will live with me from the 1 Feb 2015. He will study in 6th grade (12 years old) of primary school near to Xihu station and he doesn’t know any Chinese. So, he needs to study very an intensively Chinese and I need a private tutor to work with my son after his classes at least 3-4 days per week for the next 2-4 months from the 5th Feb 2015.

Hi! My Mandarin is pretty bad, and getting worse, so I'd love to find a tutor to help me practice basics with, and then lead into more advanced conversation. I've studied with TLI and a private tutor before, so my Mandarin isn't too bad, just a little rusty. Ideally I'd like a tutor to help me with reading menus, listening and carrying on conversations! I've already been learning Chinese for about 1.5 years (in Europe with not much practice) but now I would like to really improve my Mandarin by visiting Taiwan and really speaking and practicing it everyday for a few months. I already use Pinyin and Simplified characters, so I want a teacher who can teach with Pinyin and Simplified characters. People in Taiwan love Zhuyin and Traditional characters but I really don't want to learn these... I only want to learn Mandarin using Pinyin and Simplified characters. I hope that's not a big problem. I need to practice my speaking and get some fluency in regular, everyday speech. I enjoy conversations about life, the future, news, faith, etc. I don't need business or technical speech. I like watching dramas that help me learn too. 金大花 is one of my favorite dramas. I've learned about 600 characters and a few hundred words already. Now I just need to be in an environment where I can practice using Mandarin speech.
