Hello, I am a 30 year old foreigner living and working in Fuhsing Township, in Changhua County. I graduated from a Master in Taipei and liked Taiwan so much that decided to find a job. Been working for a year now but my Chinese is still very poor. I would like to have one on one tuition with a tutor who lives close to the Fuhsing area. The emphasis would be in conversation and listening. I am willing to have the sessions at night on weekdays and in the afternoon on weekends.

I have been living in Taiwan since August of 2014, and I have taken group classes, so I have learned a bit of Mandarin. However, I have not learned at the pace I need to, and I am embarrassed that I cannot speak better. I recently got a job that requires me to become fluent in Mandarin, so I really need intensive (one-on-one) classes to help me. While important, writing and reading are not a priority for me. Speaking and understanding is my top priority right now. I look forward to hearing from you!

Classes can be incorporated in sightseeing, a walk in the park although the weather iseems very hot!, having coffee or a meal, etc The main thing is to be able to converse with you.

Hi I am looking for one or two Chinese tutors to help me with: 1) Full-immersion, conversational, spoken Mandarin - ideally a tutor with experience second-language acquisition and good English. 2) Literary (reading,writing) Chinese composition and comprehension. I am an African-American age 32 looking for a Mandarin tutor who is willing to meet near Songshan District. I would prefer to meet 5-days a week, for either 1 to 2 hours a day. I have been studying Mandarin in the states for approximately 1.5 years and I took one semester at Shida. I am not looking to be textbook driven, but each day we could come up with a topic/subject and attempt a conversation about that topic. Feel this is a better way to practice listening and speaking. I'll work outside of our sessions on memorizing vocabulary.
