Hi there - I've been studying Mandarin off an on for about 1.5 years now while living in the United States. I know the basics, but have not studied seriously and am looking to focus more while living here in Taiwan. I take classes at National Chengchi University at night so meetings would need to be in the morning or preferably early afternoon. I'm looking for someone that can bring some structure to our meetings with focused topics, and hopefully has some experience tutoring already. Near the city center is the best place to meet, but I'm willing to travel as well.

Hi! I am looking for a Mandarin and/or Taiwanese tutor. I have some experience studying Mandarin. I don't really need a formal teacher with a teaching certificate, but you should have at least a few years of experience teaching or tutoring children or adults. The most important thing is that you need to have good pronunciation and feel comfortable correcting my incorrect pronunciation. You also need to be able to explain some grammar that is the textbook. I have a textbook and other material I want to use. This is going to be a long-term tutoring position so I'd prefer someone who can keep the same hours for at least 6 months. I am hoping to start the class at the beginning of October. I live in the Beitun District so I will want to have the class somewhere in that area. I spend a good amount of time reviewing vocabulary flashcards on my own, but don't feel confident in speaking or listening at all. My listening skills are also not improving fast enough to keep up with my class at NTU.
