I want a private tutor to help me improve all aspects of my Chinese. I have a particular interest in characters and the history of the written form, so I would like a tutor who has some academic knowledge in this area.

I am an Asian American that can read and write in Chinese at a native level; however, I am looking to improve my speaking ability because I am an actor. I currently speak with a thick mixture of Cantonese/American accent as I am told. My goal is to reach native level and speaking and I want to be able to speak with the standard Beijing accent. I understand this requires a lot of dedication and effort and I am ready for the challenge. I am looking for a teacher who is equally dedicated and is able to correct my pronunciation and tone with a systematic method. Thank you.
