Hey I'm Kurt and I'm trying to find a teacher specifically for chinese reading and writing. My speaking is already good, though it can be improved, but my main goal is to be able to get into the translation program in Shi Da. Hopefully I can do this in a year with your help. Hi, I have just arrived at Taipei and I am looking for a Chinese tutor who can help me with schoolwork and to improve my Chinese conversational skills. It would be best if the tutor has experience in classroom teaching especially if we will be covering some of the topics learned in class; we can talk about the homework given so that I can practice my Chinese outside the classroom that is purely school-related. I would prefer a tutor who has experience in preparing lesson plans for the week. I live in the NTU dormitory (Shuiyuan side along Siyuan Street) so it would be best if we could meet in the dormitory for privacy. Hello people of Tealit and people of Taiwan. My name is Patrick. I don't plan to use this website for uses other than meeting people, language exchange, and personal Chinese tutoring (which would be very helpful for me) I've been living in Taiwan for more than 5 years, but surprisingly I don't have many people to socialize with. I'd like to expand what I have now as my group of friends. I speak Chinese fluently, but have not reached the point of it being as effortless as speaking English with other people. I generally do not put an effort to make friends with Taiwanese people, simply because I still feel alienated from them, and cannot make a good connection. This being said, it's quite easy for me to feel different from people I pass by on the streets and anywhere I go to, unless I'm in the company of foreigners. Especially Americans. I teach English in Taoyuan. My home is situated in Daxi (it's nice but it isn't close to any place one would like to socialize and have fun) i.e. Taoyaun, Chungli, or Taipei. I spend most of my time working, at home, working out (I have a few equipment sets at home, because I don't like spending so much time driving to and from the gym) That being said I like to exercise and stay in great shape. Other than the above mentioned, I sometimes go out with my friends to have a good time. I enjoy drinking with good company, going to clubs, dancing, KTVs, and getting out (going to the beach, hiking, enjoying nature). I have a Chinese name, and that's for you to ask. I'm a very nice person and easy to get along with. Although not so easy to carry a conversation when first getting to know a person. Except if your an American/foreigner. Hello! I'm looking for a Chinese tutor. I studied Mandarin Chinese in university for two years and then lived and taught English in China for one year. I'm looking to continue studying simplified Chinese. I speak Chinese on a daily basis but I really want to work on grammar and proper sentence structure.
