Visiting Taipei for an intensive two week period (4.august to 19.august) to improve spoken chinese. I am a male, in my 30s and working in finance. I am seeking a language tutor to practice spoken mandarin in the afternoon/evening for a several hours per week or up to one hour per day during this period depending on your availability. My aim is to improve my spoken mandarin and ability to talk on different topics such as casual conversation, business and politics. I have taken a short class and studied vocabulary with Skritter, and I know about 200 words now, but I have no experience speaking in Chinese. I cannot make sentences and my tones are bad. I am looking for an experienced mandarin tutor to help me practice speaking and listening on Skype for the next few weeks. Once I arrive in Taipei, the tutoring would then be in-person around Wanhua, Daan, or on the NTU campus. A good tutor for me will be patient and have professional teaching experience of at least 3 years. No need to supply material or textbooks, as I would prefer to work off the textbooks that NTU supplies when I get there, and until then, I just want help to make basic sentences.
