HI!!!! My name is Vali Nashat and I'm an American who just moved to Taipei a little over a week ago to teach English. I managed to find a house and teaching job, so now my next priority is to learn Mandarin. I'm going to be here for at least a year, so I would like to learn as much as possible before then. Unfortunately, I've missed the application deadline for some of the university programs here, while the others either don't mesh well with my schedule, or they're too expensive. I'm looking for someone who would sit down with me maybe 2 to 3 times a week with each session being about 1 or 2 hours (not entirely sure about that. We'll talk about it). I've studied languages before (speak a bit of Norwegian and Icelandic) so I understand a few things about picking up a language. Would prefer a teacher who is warm, energetic, and not afraid of being silly, as I learn best when I'm engaged and active. We'll discuss a price that suits you best.
