I've lived in Taiwan for a year and a half and I want to start studying Chinese. I have picked up a bit, but it's not really very good. I work every evening until about 7pm(besides weekends), so I'd like to have local tutor who is available sometime during the week at that time or on weekends.

Our family just arrived in Kaohsiung from the USA. We will stay here until the end of 2013. My wife and I are fluent in Chinese, but unfortunately our twin 10 year old children only know a little Chinese. We'd like them to learn a lot more during our stay in Taiwan. I managed to find a house and teaching job, so now my next priority is to learn Mandarin. I'm going to be here for at least a year, so I would like to learn as much as possible before then. Unfortunately, I've missed the application deadline for some of the university programs here, while the others either don't mesh well with my schedule, or they're too expensive. I'm looking for someone who would sit down with me maybe 2 to 3 times a week with each session being about 1 or 2 hours (not entirely sure about that. We'll talk about it). I've studied languages before (speak a bit of Norwegian and Icelandic) so I understand a few things about picking up a language.
