Hi! I'm Scott, I'm 22 years old and I'm from New York. I have a BSM in finance from Tulane University in New Orleans, and I minored in Mandarin. I have been taking Chinese since the 9th grade (simplified), but as you know, Chinese in school is all about memorizing for tests and forgetting everything after. I'm very interested in learning Traditional characters and I believe I can get really good at Chinese relatively quickly considering the amount of classes I've taken. My vocab is decent but my grammar is pretty bad. I am going to be in Taipei for a year starting December 9th to teach English to kids at Kojen English Centers, and I'm looking for a tutor to meet with almost daily (mon-fri or every day) in the mornings when I'm not teaching English. I'm very serious about getting good at Chinese. I will be finding an apartment my first week in Taipei, and I prefer to meet in person (I can meet you somewhere, or you can meet me somewhere) but in the end I would be ok with just a video chat- regardless of the method, I want to get good.
