I am teaching English for a year in Kaohsiung and want to improve my Mandarin skills tremendously while I am here. I will need a tutor in the evenings preferably 3 times a week for 2 hours at a time (that's a total of 6 hours). I want someone who is very serious about teaching Mandarin in both speaking and writing (simplified and traditional). I've studied Mandarin in the USA for three semesters and 1 semester abroad in Beijing. By the end of my teaching experience I want to be able to understand the Taiwanese news, soap operas, read the newspapers, and be able to write my response to what's going on.
