Hello and how are you?
My name is Randy. I come from America and graduated from college with a B.A. in English Literature and a Minor Degree in American Studies (film and art history). Currently, I am working on my Master’s Degree in Creative Writing with a focus on EFL teaching. I have designed a number of EFL theme-based classes that also focus on various mechanical areas within the English language. Additionally, I have also written a creative thinking student and teacher guide based on my experiences living and working in the Asia-Pacific Region for the past seven years. I have a caring and professional attitude, but also a fun, creative side.
I am available to tutor people who have the goal of applying their English language learning to any Special Subject, Travel Abroad, or Test-taking (including term papers, travel abroad/study applications, and thesis consultations and editing). I have tutored professionals, professors, junior and senior high students, as well as people with special subject interests they hope to use for creative projects (whether business-oriented such as making presentations or negotiating, or artistic projects about movies, art, and architecture, etc) .
I am interested in developing a long-term (six months to one year) language tutoring relationship, but not a general conversation class.
In addition to the more typical questions about language usage, grammar, and writing projects, the class should have clear goals. We can meet for a consultation and determine how we want to design the class.
For a basic schedule I suggest meeting 1 time per week for 2 hours, or 2 times per week, 1.5 hours each time. Class fees are monthly according to the number of hours you choose at the hourly rate of NT 8.50.
The texts/material for the class can be chosen during our consultation, and I have a wide range of supplementary material and book lists we can use.
