Good day!
My 8 years of experience teaching English is teaching speaking, conversation, writing and composition. In the US I taught Political Science in college. Before traveling to the China Mainland, I earned a TEFL Certificate, and then taught College English in Tianjin. My focus there was teaching levels freshmen to grad students. In addition, from my extended stay in Taipei (ending with Covid 2020), I have the additional experience of volunteer teaching of seniors at Taipei City Library.
I am seeking an opportunity for part-time teaching, but would certainly consider a full-time position.
I have spent the last 8 years in Taiwan teaching primarily high school and junior high school students, with a dash of younger kids in a cram school setting. I have a lot of experience in both the classroom and with one-on-one tutoring. I create fun, engaging, creative lessons that grab the attention of students and hold it. I can teach any English subjects (conversation, speaking, listening, reading, writing) as well as use English to teach Social Studies/ History. I have a masters degree as well as a substitute teaching license from the USA. Additionally, I have an APRC, open work permit. I am looking for jobs in junior high and high school positions. If you are interested, please let me know and I will happily send my resume and any other needed documentation.
I believe that lessons should be fun, dynamic, and interesting for students while remaining focused on developing useful language skills. In my experience, students make the best progress when they are in well-organized classes in well-organized schools. I would be excited to teach at a school that believes the same.
I am especially interested in a position in an organization with the same commitment to continuous improvement I feel as an English teaching professional, which values teamwork, communication, and the best interests of the students.
Also, I have been a peer mentor and trained new teachers in several past positions, and would be particularly happy in a position that included a teacher training component. I believe that with my MA studies in Applied Linguistics, my CELTA Pass A,and years teaching in different instructional settings, I have the theoretical, practical, and experiential knowledge to be useful in this capacity.
Hello there, my name is Denise and I am interested in an English or German teaching full-time position in Taiwan.
I spent several months as an Au Pair in England and China to teach English and German. I've worked with children from the age 5 to 13 for 2 years.
During my stay abroad I've realised how important teaching a new language is, but also the way you teach it. Therefore, I am a patient, motivating and supportive teacher, who wants her students to enjoy a new language.
If you have further questions I would like to hear from you soon.
To whom it may concern,
I have taught for more than 3 years in Korea and Japan. I have also taught for 2 years online to children and adults. I am currently in the United States and looking for work in the Taipei area.
My name is Brad Russell and I am interested in a science or English teaching position in Taiwan. I have seven years’ experience working with students between grade nine and twelve. I am on my second year of teaching International Baccalaureate standard level and higher-level biology and the Middle Years Program 4 & 5 biology. I also have two years’ experience with AP biology.
I love projects. School should be fun, engaging, and active. My class focuses on getting students to see the real-world application of science and why it matters in our daily lives. I spend time helping students to see the connection between the theoretical and the applied. My current units in MYP focus on teaching students about antibiotic resistance and applying it across evolution, molecular biology, and ecology. Students leave my classroom with a deep understanding of why the problem exists and why it is so hard to solve. My students produce videos, presentations and lab reports that help them to understand the world better and communicate to an outside audience.
My expertise in education is in project-based learning, also sometimes called problem-based learning. I believe students need to engage with the material they are learning in meaningful ways for them to truly internalize it. The system of project-based learning I use is from the Buck Institute of Education with some modifications made from other sources of information I have encountered over the years. At my next school, I would like to continue to work within a project oriented framework and I would like to continue helping other teachers develop their own projects with the goal of creating interdisciplinary projects at the school.
A quick note on my visa. My wife is Taiwanese, and I am currently in the process of acquiring a residence visa for Taiwan via marriage. I am currently waiting for the FBI background check to go through and then I will apply for residence. I am hoping to be finish the process by the end of July, but it all depends on the FBI background check.
If you would like to contact me, please email me.
