I have learned Chinese as a second language, myself, so am aware of the kinds of difficulties a learner of Chinese can have. I taught Chinese language to middle-school aged students in Canada for one year, and have been studying linguistics here in Taiwan for two years, taking several classes on teaching Chinese as a second language. As I began my Chinese studies in Mainland China many years ago, I am able to teach either simplified or traditional characters.
