My name is Mary and I have 10+ years of experience teaching English to motivated students ages 4-18 from all over the world, including Taiwan, Vietnam, Oman, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, USA, and Canada.
ABOUT ME:
I offer a unique set of of courses for high-level, acadmic English students. We go beyond memorizing words, and ask students to apply new concepts and think critically about new topics. Language is a muscle that needs to be exercised, and we approach it as such! My students build the skills to communicate successfully and create powerful arguments in speaking and writing. These are the building blocks for a succesful academic and professional career.
Students who study with me get to choose from over 20 personally-designed courses. We work together to select the one that is the right level for you. This way, your child will continue to be challenged through fresh and interesting courses, while allowing you to work closely with a teacher who knows you well. Courses range from 6-33 lessons per course.

Typically, students read the chapters or complete a writing task before class to be discussed at the beginning of the next one. We will go over tricky parts together in class. This maximizes your time with me, and gives you more learning for the same 1 hour lesson you might get with another tutor. Homework marking is included in the price of the one hour class.
