As a native speaker of Mandarin , I prefer speaking Mandarin throughout the whole lesson, instead of speaking some English in class(negotiable). Using visual learning and interactive games or talks help you learning Mandarin. We will discover something together that you are interested in , such as cooking, traveling, and singing, filming, fitness.
Moreover, I have good sense of humour and creativity as a result I enjoy my life fully and I know how to help you expand your own horizons, which I think is a key motivation when learning a language.
Motivating students to gain knowledge and confidence with Mandarin really inspires me. Now You have the chance to learn about the culture of Taiwan with me, please contact me.
I studied Chinese Literature at university and was graduated this summer, planning to be a full time Mandarin tutor.
You would not only obtain Mandarin ability, but dynamic and vivid local culture, history, etiquette etc. as well, up to your needs.
Tutoring in Mandarin only is prefer for your own good. I do speak English, and English will be used if you ask for.
The way, methods, materials of teaching will be decided after fully discussion with you.
Taiwanese (Hokkien) would be gladly included in the class if you would like.

Dear students,
I am a native Chinese speaker and live in Taiwan. I graduated from National Taichung University of Science and Technology and got my bachelor's degree. My background was English majored, international trade, banking and insurance. But, now I am an assistant and a Chinese teacher. I've been teaching Chinese on the internet and face-to-face for 3 years. I really enjoy them.
During my leisure time, I like watching movies and cooking. I really like cooking foods, especially spicy foods.
My Chinese teaching materials depend on student’s level. The Chinese book which I use is 3rd Edition, Practical Audio-Visual Chinese 新版實用視聽華語. From volume 1 to 5. If you have your own materials learning Chinese, I could use yours, too.
I could teach Chinese via video call or face-to-face, based on your needs.
In my opinion, I think the best way to learn a language is to use it. Because language itself is used to communication. Not for taking exams. Learning a language takes time to reach intermediate or advanced level. It's really interesting learning a new language.
I will try my best to help you, but your persistent is the most important while learning a language. The hour of each lesson is an hour. The hour is negotiable if you want to have more time or less time of each lesson. And the hourly pay is NTD$ 700/ hour (one-on-one); group lesson is NTD$ 1000/ hour (3 students in a group).
If you are interested in learning Chinese with me. Even just practice your Chinese. Please contact me via my contact information below, thank you.
Also, I could help you with your pronunciation, writing, speaking, and listening. Please contact me and tell me which way do you prefer to have lesson, which parts (listening, writing, speaking, listening or other) do you want to improve and what's your Chinese level. Thank you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Sarah

Hello everyone, my name is Nina. I am 28 years old and have lived my entire life in Taiwan, other than for the last five years which I have spent in London. While in London, I have completed a Masters Degree at the University of Westminster and had worked for couple of years.
I am native Mandarin speaker, and I love to teach. While in London I have already tutoring for several students adult/children. My teaching is suitable for any level of Mandarin, and for people of any age.
-Teaching Method
My aim is to listen to the wishes of the student and try to customize a teaching package that suits you as best as possible. I acknowledge that everyone may have varying degrees of familiarity and knowledge of Mandarin, and the aim is to find a starting point and a plan that takes student to a level within an agreed time-frame that all parties are happy with. The goal is to discuss what you want to learn, materials, etc.
I also focus on teaching by having fun, learning from topic you are interested and encourage you to really enjoy the process. All my teachings are dedicated one-on-one interactions and with full attention to one student at the time.
-What I Teach
Exactly what I will teach will be determined when we meet. What I can offer is Traditional Mandarin with a full set of traditional characters. I can also teach Zhuyin and Pinyin and also tell the evolution story of the Traditional Mandarin characters in case this would help memorise the characters. I can also teach Taiwanese, calligraphy or Jiaguwen (oracle-bone scripture) if you are interested.
Best regards
Nina
