Hi. I'm looking for a short-term Chinese tutor who can help me get comfortable with banking and stock trading in Taiwan. Specifically, I'd like to be able to understand all the operations and terminology on the online banking website, and the website for my stock broker, and be able to do very basic research about companies. You don't need to be very familiar with these things already. I think primarily we would just be visiting some websites where you would read and explain the content to me, although it would definitely help if you've done some stock-trading before. I am only in Taipei for the next two weeks, but would like to take the knowledge and be able to use it from abroad. I am Taiwan-born, but moved to the USA at an early age, so I can speak conversational Mandarin. I can not read or write Chinese. Thanks!

My name is Roy and I am seeking someone to teach me how to speak Mandarin. I work in Science Park and I am on a long term assignment to Taiwan. I am from the U.S. and I live near Costco in Hsinchu. I would prefer to meet in the mornings before I have to work.

I've been living in Taoyuan, Taiwan for two months now. All I know is hello, thank you and some other words. I think learning to speak would be more useful for the time being, but learning to read and write chinese would be great too. I know some Chinese characters because I minored in Japanese studies in college and some of the characters have the same meaning like numbers.
