Currently at 師大 for ~8 months now, looking for some supplementary speaking and listening practice, focus on normal every day language and longer sentences, classroom seems to be not quite enough in this area. Reading/writing skills are not needed, looking for a few hours a week, evenings or afternoons.

My name is Austin, I am here in Taipei for the next year to teach English. While I am here it is a goal of mine to learn Mandarin. I already know a little Mandarin from spending 2 months studying in Beijing. However, I have a heavy Beijing accent and haven't had a chance to practice my skills in multiple years. I would like to change that and would like to have someone who can meet me at my current level and tutor me up. I already have a decent Mandarin base and can probably jump right into learning new phrases. I can only speak a little, I cannot read or write any Chinese characters, so I would like to learn that as well if there is time. I am currently in New Taipei City in the BanQiao district but will be willing to travel into Taipei for lessons. Rate is negotiable. Thank you.

Hello, I am Alper, has been living & working in Taipei for about 7 years, and very shame of my Chinese :) I am looking for a Chinese teacher who I can study with 1 hours per day (2-3 days a week). Before I studied Chinese in 3 different language course (Shida Uni., TLI etc.). Currently, I need someone with experience as I need to improve my Chinese significantly especially focusing on speaking part rather than writing. I am located in Qichang MRT Station (七張站), so expecting my teacher to come around Qichang MRT station in Xindian District. Hey! My flatmate and I are new to Taipei, working as English teachers, situated in Jangzicui. We are looking to learn Mandarin during our day off (Tuesday). As we are completely new to the language, we are initially looking to learn to some fundamentals to help us get by in every day situations. I am looking for a reasonably priced private tutor to meet 1.5 hour per day, 4 times per week for 7 weeks (42 hours in total). My current level is HSK1+ but i hope to reach HSK2+ before i get to Taipei. Currently i do home studying for about 20-30 minutes every day and i have been doing so since September of this year. I speak 3 languages fluently (Dutch, English and Spanish) and 2 languages intermediate (Portuguese and German). So far Mandarin is the most difficult for me. I have a bachelor's degree in marketing. I don't need Chinese for work but i believe Chinese is the future of our world and i really want to learn it. I am a very motivated and positive / happy student and am looking to improve (in this order): speaking, listening, reading. Most early mornings i will be busy but i can usually meet anywhere between 11AM until 9PM.
