Hello. My name is Mapula Mochudi. I am a South African female teaching English in Taoyuan. I've been living in Taiwan for a year and I'm ready to learn Mandarin. I would like to learn basic conversation first and reading. I can't speak Mandarin , so ideally I need someone who do a beginners course with me. Thank You.

Not trying to get a pro, just want to get the basics right - and be able to pronounce things properly. I’ve learned so far using FluentU, which was great but it didn’t give me feedback on how I’m speaking.

I'm a highly motivated student currently studying through a mess of means: I'm going through two textbooks, I'm learning songs, I'm talking with locals as much as I can, I'm reading children's books and reading menus. Still, my level is low. I know a handful of random vocabulary, numbers, how to order food, how to ask basic questions, how to say where I'm from, and how to say I don't understand and apologize for not understanding. I want a teacher who 1) Can come to Sanchong twice or more every week 2) Who can help me focus what I'm learning 3) Who can add on what they think is important. I'm most interested in speaking and listening, though I'd also like to learn to read. I'm holding off on writing for now, though if a tutor thinks it's important, I'll stress it more.

I took Chinese in high school and briefly lived in Shanghai so I am slightly past the beginner level. Hello, I am in need of an experienced teacher to meet with 2 - 4 times per week for 2 hours each class. My main focus is improving speaking ability for business (I work at a technology company and everyone mostly speaks and writes in Mandarin at work). I have some ideas for materials such as emails, texts and notes from my job, industry articles and business Chinese textbooks, but we would mainly focus on speaking so I'm not sure how useful written material will be. My second area of focus is on reading Chinese literature. For literature, we could use what Taiwan Normal University Mandarin Training Center lists as their website's curriculum list. I also have one beginning classical Chinese book we could use. I am also open to your ideas too. Thank you.

Hello, I am a beginner/intermediate student (self-taught) looking for a Chinese teacher to come to my office near the Neihu Tech. Park (Gangqian Station). I would like someone to come twice a week, anytime between 9-5 (avoid lunchtime). I am learning PinYin pronunciation and I have the textbook and workbook that the Shida Mandarin students use. My boss want me to focus on spoken Chinese, but I would like to also learn how to read important characters. Hello! My friend and I are looking for a tutor on weekdays between the times of 11-1 (due to our work schedules). We are two different levels, but it is okay to start off with more basic material. I am able to read and write some simplified characters as well. We would like to be tutored 1-2 times a week for an hour or two. There are class rooms in my apartment complex nearby Far Eastern hospital I prefer to use those for tutors. a teacher in nearby area and with Chinese teaching major is more preferable.

I’m looking to improve my grammar and fluency for daily conversations with my in-laws. My wedding is coming this year, so I also need advice about this (besides my husband’s advice). I’d also like help writing a speech that’s simple but still elegant and correct. I can meet near stations along the Red Line, or near Nanjing Fuxing, Neihu station, Shilin station, or Hongshulin. Hey, I came to Kaohsiung to improve my basic Mandarin. I can speak some very basic stuff that I learned while traveling in China for 5 months (order food, as for the price, some random stuff, general idea of the language, etc.). I will stay in Kaohsiung till 1st June, so I want to make my time worth here, so I learn Mandarin from all other sources too (like practising writing for 1hr/day for 2 months already, listening to online courses, speaking to local people, etc.). I would like to focus on practical use of the language. Not to follow 100% usual text-books, but more everyday conversation, popular words. For writting I am learning only simplified, but I don't pay extreme attention to my writting skills, more speaking/listening. I usually learn stuff by myself (using Internet), but some help would definitely help in this case. I am thinking about 3 days a week, maybe 4. Each meeting for 2hr. I can speak and listen OK because my fiance is Taiwanese, but I don't have chances to read and write much. Even reading a menu is difficult. I would like to practice reading and learn new vocabulary. I feel my learning has stopped progressing since a 1+ years ago!

Hello! I am an English teacher at a school in the Xitun District of Taichung. I have a break from 12-2 every day and am looking for a one-on-one tutor to work with either from 12-1 or 1-2 two times a week. I prefer Mondays and Thursdays.
