My name is Matthew Lowe, an experienced British ESL teacher currently based in Chengdu, Sichuan (China). I have been teaching English to children in China since 2006 – mostly in full-time positions in private schools. Having amassed a great deal of experience and enjoyed a fantastic time in China, I have decided to continue my teaching and development in Taiwan.I will be arriving in Taiwan in mid October 2017. My teaching qualifications include a 40 hour TEFL course, Disney English training and TEFL-C course. My academic qualifications include a degree (BA) in Philosophy from the University of Durham (2000) and a degree (BA) in Chinese Language from Sichuan University (2016). In the numerous positions I have held in China I feel that I have amassed a great deal of classroom experience as well as developing a good understanding of the needs of employers, students and parents. I have held senior teaching positions in numerous schools and have had the added responsibilities of supervising, training, observing and assessing other teachers.
