I came to Taiwan one month ago, and I already love it a lot. I want to learn useful Chinese so that I can socialize with my friends, go shopping at the night market, travel, and eat local foods. I am also interested in learning Taiwanese for these same reasons, so I would like a tutor who can speak both.
I am not a student, so I'm not concerned with being the most technically perfect speaker. I just want to be able to understand others, be understood, and have fun conversations.
You don't need the best qualifications. I think having a friendly, warm personality is more important. I would like it if you could recommend a text book for me.
When we get to know each other better, I would like to try to do some destination learning. For example, we go to the night market, and you teach me a phrase for how to ask for stinky tofu, then I say it. Real life experience.
Let's start with one hour one time a week, and we can add more time if it works well. Monday thru Thursday, after 17:00 in Tien Mu or near Shipai station, or after 18:00 near Danshui station or TKU are the most convenient locations and times for me.
