*Applying
The deadline for filing international applications is November 30th in the first term and before April 30th in the second term. All applicants are required to submit a complete application form, a copy of their diploma, a copy of their official transcripts, a statement of purpose, two letters of recommendation, and a record of medical examination. Some programs may require other additional information. Applications will only be considered for admission for the fall semester .

Scholarship, Teaching Assistance, and Research Assistance are available. International students can also apply for the Taiwan Scholarship offered by the government.

*Cost of study
Currently undergraduate students pay approximately NT$24,000 to NT$28,000 per semester for tuition and fees. For graduate students, mandatory fees are about NT$11,000 to NT$13,000 per semester. And tuition is NT$1,530 per semester unit. Books and supplies cost about NT$10,000 per semester.

*Housing and Living costs
All international students will be provided with on-campus dormitory-style housing. For graduate students, each room accommodates one students, which costs approximately NT$8,000 per semester per student; while for undergraduate student, each room accommodates four, which costs about NT$6,500 per semester per student. Living expenses range from NT$8,000 to NT$15,000 per month.

The University campus is located in Shou-feng Township, formally inaugurated in 1994, about fifteen kilometers south of the city of Hualien. In all, the University campus and its surrounding grounds total more than 251 hectares(650 acres). Nestled between the Coastal Mountain Range and the Central Mountain Range in the verdant, pristine Papaya Creek delta, National Dong Hwa University is graced with a spectacularly beautiful natural environment. The air is pure and clean, and the campus environment possesses a tranquil, peaceful quality.
There is no doubt that National Dong Hwa University has been endowed with the most beautiful, spacious and naturally scenic university campus in Taiwan. Our university is not only the major hub of much of the intellectual and cultural activity in the Hualien area, but it also serves as one of Taiwan’s most oft-visited tourist sites.
