Position Title: English Teacher
Company: Hugokids Kindergarten and Hugokids Language School
Location: Chiayi City, Taiwan
Date: Starting August 9th, 2021 until July 31st, 2022 (Option to renew contract after 1st year)

Hugokids has been a well respected and established school for over 20 years. It also operates a non-profit organization that offers scholarships and services to the community. We are looking for colleagues with a thorough knowledge of English phonics, grammar and writing. Prior teaching experience is desirable but not necessary. The following qualifications are required:
● Native English speaker (USA, CAN, AU, UK, SA, NZ).
● Bachelor's degree.

We offer a competitive salary and great working environment which includes the following:
 Monthly Salary based on 27 teaching hours per week (starting from NT$62,000 based on experience and qualification)
 Health Insurance, Work Permit and ARC
 Paid National Holidays and Chinese New Year
 Contract Renewal Bonus: Extra days paid vacation (The number of vacation days you are allowed to take depends on your seniority and performance.)
 Full hourly pay for events (like Halloween)
 On arrival you will be offered 2 weeks free accommodation in a shared apartment.
 Occasional workshops for which you will be paid half your hourly rate per hour should your total amount of teaching hours already exceed 27 hours per week (These will only be scheduled on weekdays)
 Lesson plans, textbooks and materials will be provided.
 Teaching schedule is Monday through Friday (NO weekend teaching hours)

As mentioned you will be offered 2 weeks free accommodation to give you the time to find your own place. Should you wish to stay on in the apartment, we will ask you to pay a reasonable rent. During the year, new teachers may occasionally be observed by senior teachers and supervisors. If you continue teaching beyond the first year, you will maintain the same benefits and will qualify for a pay increase.
