I'm Boris, a French expat who's just kicked off a two-year adventure in Taiwan, specifically in the Zhongshan district in Taipei. While I'm excited to immerse myself in this beautiful country, I've realized that mastering Mandarin would make my experience even more amazing. That's where you come in!
I'm looking for a Mandarin teacher who can help me navigate this language. Since my work is fully remote right now, I have enough online meetings every day so I'd prefer to meet face-to-face for lessons. Ideally, it would be fantastic if we could have our classes either at my place or somewhere conveniently located between Shilin and Zhongshan districts. Plus, I prefer morning classes to kickstart my day with some language learning.
To begin with, I'm thinking of dedicating 1 to 1.5 hours per week to our lessons, and of course, I'll diligently complete my homework to reinforce what I've learned. My goal is to become more fluent in everyday situations—chatting with locals, ordering dishes at local eateries, deciphering street signs, and tackling the grocery list with ease. While I'm not aiming to become a calligraphy master, I do believe that improving my writing skills would help me remember characters better.
