My name is Daniel. I’m a native English speaker from the United States (California). I am interested in finding tutoring work as an English teacher. I have been in Taiwan a few years now and currently tutor several students, and can provide excellent references if you would like.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, as well as a TEFL/TESOL certificate. I worked in corporate business settings in Chicago and San Francisco before moving to Taiwan. I currently split time working at both kindergarten/cram schools , as well as some evenings teaching adults. I am able to tutor young children, as well as adults (especially in Business English).
I am a very patient, and helpful teacher who will make you laugh and feel comfortable learning English in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. We can meet at a coffeeshop, library, bar, or whatever makes you feel comfortable. I have many fun and interesting lesson plans already created (but I can make new ones, depending on your goals). I also have lots of workbooks if you want a more structured class. I tend to focus mostly on conversation and vocabulary, but can provide help with grammar, reading, or writing as well.
I live near and work near 光華商場 in Taipei City, but can travel to meet you as well. I’m every afternoon from about 11:30am until about 4:00pm. I’m also available evenings after about 7:00pm or 7:30pm (Tuesday and Thursday would work best). I can meet weekends as well, if you’d prefer. In my experience a 1.5 or 2 hour session would be a good length for a class (I think 1 hour is too short).
