EXCITING and WELL-PAID opportunities in 1-on-1 tutoring at TeachME!


TeachME is a tutoring center located in Shilin District, Taipei. We specialize in 1-to-1 tutoring in a range of subjects, including English, math, science, and standardized test prep, from elementary to high school level. We have a vibrant, multicultural team, and are currently seeking to add enthusiastic teachers for both English and STEM subjects.


Our focus is on providing a high quality of academic instruction to students who are studying courses in English. Our teachers generally specialize in either English & humanities or the STEM fields. Classes are generally offered between 12pm and 8:30pm on weekdays, and between 9am and 6:30pm on weekends. A sample of our course offerings can be found below:

English: General English enrichment, K-12; SAT/TOEFL/IELTS prep; Essay writing; AP English Language/Literature.

Math: General lower school math (Eureka, Singapore, Key Stage 1-3), Pre-algebra, Geometry, Algebra I-II, Pre-calculus, AP Calculus (AB/BC), AP Statistics, IB Maths (SL/HL); SAT prep.

Science: General lower/middle school science; AP Biology; AP Chemistry; AP Physics (I, II); AP Computer Science; IB Biology/Chemistry; IGCSE Physics.

Humanities: Lower/Middle school history; AP World History; AP European History; AP US History; AP Human Geography; AP Government & Politics; IB Geography (SL/HL).

Languages: Instruction from beginner’s level to advanced in French, German, Spanish, and others.


POSITION DETAILS:

COMPETITIVE hourly rates! Higher level course content will receive a higher rate. English classes range from $650-$850 per hour; STEM classes range from $750-$1,000.

FLEXIBLE scheduling. Classes are available on weekday afternoons/evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday. We will work with you to create a class schedule that suits your needs and availability.

VARIETY in teaching content. We offer courses in everything from calculus to computer science, and more! A great opportunity for teachers who are excited to explore a wider range of subject matter.

SUPPORTIVE head teachers and admin staff ensure that teachers are given opportunities to grow. All teachers receive training prior to the first lesson, and have access to our large library of teaching resources.

Can support work permit and NHI for suitable candidates.


REQUIREMENTS:

For candidates applying to teach English, it is necessary to be a native speaker.

For candidates applying to teach other subjects, a relevant university or other qualification is required.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience teaching their preferred subject(s).

Candidates with at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent will be preferred.

Candidates must be able to fulfill all of the requirements for a Taiwan work permit.
