Yu-Jen is an elementary school looking for Foreign English teachers. At the moment we are looking for someone to step in for half a year to help a group of younger kids prepare for a full ESL program next year. These kids have had a few hours of English each afternoon for 2 years with both native speakers and Taiwanese English teachers, but now we want to shift to full morning English with a native speaker homeroom teacher.

The position is a half day opportunity for the the second half of this academic year, but the following academic year is one where we plan to increase our staff, so the potential to move to full time in the future is high. This present half day position will be from 08:00 to 11:45.

We are a school with a great reputation, excellent benefits, and a positive, professional team. We have paid winter and summer vacations, multiple health insurances (NHI, Labor Insurance, and a private insurance), a strong pension system, year-end bonuses, and multiple other benefits. The curriculum is clear and materials are provided to the teacher. The subjects range from Grammar and other literacy subjects, through to PE, music, and clubs.

We are looking for energetic professional teachers, ideally with experience. Character is as important as ability in our team. Background checks and drug tests will need to be provided. If an ARC is needed, applicants need to hold teaching certification from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, NZ, or RSA. However, permanent residence holders with sufficient teaching experience might be best suited to this part time role.
