Hi, my name is Nicola Fick and I’m from South Africa. I have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a post graduate diploma in accounting. I’m a qualified Chartered Accountant who has been working in the finance field since 2004. I have no teaching experience as this is change in career for me due to my recent retrenchment. I would like to find a way to give back and definitely think teaching English is the way to go. I love interacting with children of all ages. Children are always drawn to me and I am always willing to give them attention. I have 2 Taiwanese friends that I’ve known since school and I helped them with their English development. The school guidance teacher even complimented on me assisting them in their English. I’ve always enjoyed training and supervising junior staff in my previous positions. I would like to move to Taiwan for personal reasons as my boyfriend currently resides there and I visited Taiwan in February of this year for Chinese New year. I was absolutely fascinated by the country and I hear it is a great place to live and work.
I bring enthusiasm, dedication, and success to your students; with time, I can become a valuable asset to your school. Oxford Seminars often challenged me to practice my skills, and have given access to valuable knowledge and support. With their mentorship, I’m confident I can learn to adapt myself to your needs and expectations. I seek to teach primarily adolescents, young adults, and adults. Nevertheless, I am willing to take on any challenge and opportunities that come my way.
To me, the development of English learners weights heavily on its fundamentals: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. As a habitual reader, I have seen considerable improvement in my own witting and speaking skills. I find it so vital to the equation that I would set it as a regular activity both outside and inside the classroom.
With daily readings, I would set students to journal on a regular basis. Setting myself to journal often has, slowly over time, allowed my ideas to flow smoother and be more creative. Lastly, just as my teachers gave me ample opportunities to share my thoughts, work with others, and teach; I would accommodate ample speaking activities in my lesson plans. Speaking to and in front of people can be daunting for some, it was for me at one point. However, it is also a valuable skill for any student learning English or Business. It is the foundation for skills like mentoring, presenting, or public speaking. Thus, it must be practiced often and in different settings. I will accommodate the habitual practice of the fundamentals into your curriculum. With experience, I believe I can refine my classes further to be more effective and valuable.
Overall, I am very excited to move to Taiwan. Besides teaching, I look to learn Mandarin myself. I currently take a beginners class in Langara Collage, but would look to language exchange’s to improve further. I am also a passionate soccer player, and would aim to socialize though joining a team to play in.
I look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your consideration.
Sincerely,
Daniel Pascual
Hello, my name is John Strome. I am a Canadian English teacher who has been teaching in Taiwan for over 20 years. I am looking for the right school to enter into a long-term contract with. One of the most important skills for an English teacher to learn is being able to teach in a way that will keep the students interested in the class and the material. I work very hard in my classes to make that happen. I use many different recourses, including multimedia and APPS, to make my classes interesting, fun and informative.
My name is Raymond Buxton, and I am looking for a position as an ESL/English Teacher. As a teacher I have come to discover that teaching ESL/English is more of a passion than a job, and because of that I feel this attribute makes for the best kind of teachers.
Furthermore, over the years I have acquired the education, experience and knowledge necessary not only to lead, motivate and inspire a classroom of learners, but also to combine these abilities and deliver an interesting and dynamic English lesson. I have also discovered that I can capture the interest and excitement of students regardless of their level of proficiency through fun interactive games, and other activities that are inclusive in nature and student centered.
As a volunteer ESL Instructor both at University and with my local community centre, I was able to hone a wide variety of skill sets needed to identify the specific needs of both individual learners and groups of students. Moreover, my passion and drive to meet the expectations of my employer are what makes me stand out as an exceptional ESL/English teacher in this profession.
With that said, these are just a few of the reasons why I am not only well suited for the classroom environment, but more importantly, I add significantly to the dynamics of the classroom in making it a safe, fun and exciting place for people of all ages to learn English.
In my previously positions, in Canada and here in Taiwan, I have excelled at understanding learning styles, techniques and how to gauge my student’s areas of difficulty and help them see a mistake as a learning opportunity, and not an indication of their failings. They can then refocus and build on their errors and see them for what they are—successes in the waiting.
Lastly, and in closing, I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss the aforementioned and expand on my qualifications and experience. Please feel free to contact me at your next earliest convenience. I hope to hear from you soon.
I am an Australian ESL teacher with experience teaching in Japan and Australia. I hold a Bachelor, Graduate Diploma in Linguistics and a CELTA and am about to complete a Master of Applied Linguistics. I love teaching and can work with any age group.
I'm looking for a position in Taiwan (any location and type of position is OK) that can offer VISA support. Available to arrive as early as December.
If Part-time, when: Combination: Some Mornings, Afternoons & Evenings
First and foremost, I would like to briefly introduce myself regarding my academic background and teaching experience. Prior to registering myself as a PhD candidate in National Tsing Hua University, I worked as a public school teacher at Sixth form of secondary education in Malaysia for almost 20 years and served as a temporary tutor for A level and Ap PHY.Besides, I also published more than 10 books of physics and chemistry under the collaboration with several famous Malaysian writers. I have to make my sincere apology at this point for not attaching my CV due to the lack of experience in writing CV because CV is not in the inclusion of the requirement for becoming a public school teacher in Malaysia. We can meet up for better understanding of the syllabus and the interest I have in the field at your most convenient time. You are welcomed to contact me through my phone number or email. Looking forward to meeting you.
Thank You and Best Regards,
Soon to be Dr Lim Peng Chew

Hello
My name is Gloriah Krishna Tolentino, people call me Gloriah, but if it's hard to pronounce you can call me in your comfortable way. I am an Enthusiastic teacher, I never stop until my students don't get what I mean when I discuss my lessons. I see to it that before I leave my class their smile that they wear on their face during my period of teaching won't disappear. I always smile in the class or outside of my class, to make people comfortable with, as my smile is the only thing that I can offer to them, if they don't understand me or vice-versa. I like when my students confidently try to speak with me or make fun of me as long as they speak English. (Respect is there even they make jokes). Being friendly with limits gives them confidence to learn and speak the English language. Though I set boundaries with my students, I see to it they can approach me anytime and anywhere. Through my skills in teaching, I do believe that I can be a big help in your institution, I obtain a Bachelors degree in Education, major in English, a TESOL course, also a license teacher in the Philippines and have a temporary license here in Thailand. With my experiences with foreign students specifically Taiwanese, I can be flexible in learning their inter and intra personality, that would help cater their needs in learning.
I am an American ESL and Drama teacher looking for a full-time position in Taipei. I have taught in NYC, China, and online for over six years. I hav worked with children of all ages but prefer middle school students. I have an MA in Educational Theatre from NYU and a TESOL certificate. I am a hard working, caring, and engaging teacher. Please contact me for my CV.
I am Ezekiel Concha and I am currently looking for a teaching opportunity in Taiwan. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Far Eastern University, a 120-Hour TESOL Certificate from International Open Academy, and I am currently taking a 150-Hour Professional TESOL Certificate program in Arizona State University. I am working as a University Teaching Assistant/Classroom Facilitator wherein I facilitate student learning in the tertiary level with 20-25 students per class under the guidance of a Supervising Teacher. I am teaching Commission on Higher Education-mandated courses like: (a) Applied Ethics in Contemporary Times, (b) Regional Culture and Language Studies, (c) Science, Technology, and Society and (d) Filipino in the Contemporary World.
I can contribute to your institution through my teaching experience, excellent communication and leadership skills, efficient classroom management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and multi-task. Also, I am versatile, collaborative, persevering, and adaptable.
Teaching in Taiwan would be a good opportunity for me to practice my passion for teaching while also immersing myself to the culture of the country.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
